• *Some of the smaller sizes are for vertical (portrait) or horizontal (landscape) format.  Smallest 4" x 4" painted area for face is required to ensure a good likeness;


• Other sizes and proportions within reason are available at request. You can just tell us the width or height you prefer and we can work out the correct proportion or recommend a composition;


• Prices include plain studio background, see plain background examples;


• Prices do NOT include frame and shipping.


• Additional fee will be charged if a landscape background or intricate details to be painted such as floral arrangement, furniture, complex dress and or other special request and amendments;


• Up to 5% off oil portraits of pets and animals depending on breeds and details;


• Up to 7% off oil portraits of landscape, flowers, house and still life depending on complexity and styles;

Changes can be made within reason to your portrait painting


• Photo restoration;


• Changing backgrounds & styles;


• Cropping the subjects;


• Removing people(pets/animals) or objects;


• Minor changes to hair style or dressing;


• Color enhancement;


• Combining people(pets/animals) or objects from different photos.

1. Submit the best photo you have (the largest and clearest image or with 100k jpg or better is preferred). The face and the color of the eyes and hair should be clearly visible. trying to fake in parts of the face simply doesn't work. The better the photo, the better the portrait. 2 . If you are undecided as to which photo would make the best oil portrait, then send more than one in and let us help you decide. There is NO COST or OBLIGATION to send us photos to look at. 3. Determine the size you want your oil portrait or painting to be. Or just tell us the width or height you desire and then we will work out the right proportion for you. Custom sizes are a common request for us, however, sometimes certain works can require cropping (slight image loss) to reach exact measurements or proportions. Keep this in mind when ordering your custom piece. If you cannot attach your photo(s) to an email then mail them (see address below) to our physical address with your instructions and contact information. Step 1. You Email Us your photo/digital image as an attachment (prefer NOT to include it in the email text body), advise your preferred format, style and size, for which there is no restriction - within reason! Or simply tell us what you want and ask questions. There is NO COST or OBLIGATION to send us photos to look at.

We will let you know if the photo you send or the size you request is appropriate for our artists to work with. We can then also give guidance regarding lighting, exposure, cropping, background, colors etc., though the final choice would be yours.

Please be assured that as a professional art studio, we would NOT take on a commission for which our portrait artists would not be fully confident of producing an excellent, high quality portrait for a completely satisfied customer. So please don't be offended should PaintingsPal not be able to accept your request.

Step 2. We email you a quot.

Step 3. You approve price. We accept payment by credit card via PayPal.  For payment options Click Here (on Help page).

Step 4. We process your order. It usually takes 5-6 weeks to complete before preview of reproduction image via email.

Step 5. You approve completed oil portrait or ask for any modification. We offer 100% satisfaction before shipping.

Step 6. You receive your finished oil portrait and painting.
